I've always been surrounded by creativity and inspiration. Mum and Dad exposed us to so many opportunities to create. We lived in a tiny shack for years while they built our family home- literally every stone Dad laid was the building of that dream- not just a house but a lifestyle.

From an early age I saw Dad shearing the sheep, he spun the wool and Mum knitted. We dug up clay and formed rustic pots and sculptures. Watching the full process of how things are made gave me an appreciation for unique creativity, the art of hand made items and good craftsmanship. I know it was my experience of make and mend growing up that has driven my passion to explore so many different crafts. Having no training my efforts are sometimes rudimentary but I'm not limited by the rules- a freedom which I wholeheartedly embrace. Much of my "playing" is often just a exploratory learning process, not producing anything of value or interest, but this is my creative outlet. This play inspires me and spills over into other areas of creativity.

I've been collecting photo's of different projects and creative inspiration for so long, sharing bits and pieces with like minded friends. Today I decided to blog them instead so that it's easier to share. We are all creative but struggle with the confidence to express it. I don't claim to be an artist, potter, Interior designer, I just like to make pretty things. I'm not playing by the rules, so how can I be wrong- I'm just playing for F.U.N.!!!
